Tale of the Numbers From Sooners Storm Surge at Kansas State

When the Sooners scored their fifth touchdown of the afternoon at Kansas State on Saturday with five minutes left before halftime, it marked the first time this season that OU had scored that many points in a half – either half.

The 55-0 blowout against coach Bill Snyder’s Wildcats marked perhaps the worse loss in Snyder’s 24 mostly successful seasons as K-State’s head coach. The Sooners were masterful on both sides of the ball, scoring two first-quarter touchdowns before Kansas State had picked up a first down.

5 – Touchdown passes by quarterback Baker Mayfield in the first half at K-State.
