Stanford cornerback Paulson Adebo was named the Jim Thorpe Award Player of the Week after helping the Cardinal to a 41-31 win over Arizona last weekend.
The junior from Mansfield, Texas, had two interceptions and a tackle in the win.
His interception with 15 seconds leftin the end zone sealed the victory. Adebo has four interceptions on the season.
Florida State's Hamsah Nasirildeen, Marshall's Kereon Merrell and Buffalo's Joey Banks and LSU's Derek Stingley Jr. were named as honorable mention performers for the week.
