NORMAN — Another Oklahoma football player is retiring from football due to concussions.
Senior running back Daniel Brooks is reportedly ending his career, and he's the third Sooner to retire from football this season. Offensive lineman Jamal Danley announced his decision before the season, while starting linebacker Tay Evans announced his medical retirement earlier this week.
Brooks played just 25 games in his career, including two this season. The former three-star recruit ran for 176 yards on 34 carries and caught two passes for 40 yards. Brooks entered the season behind junior Samaje Perine and redshirt sophomore Joe Mixon in the running back rotation.
