It appears Oklahoma's running back depth has taken a hit leading up to Sunday's season opener against Houston.
"God I Know You Looking Out For Me Through The Darkness," T.J. Pledger posted on Instagram with a photo of him in a hospital bed with his right arm in a splint. "Surgery was Great I'll be back Sooner Nation."
The sophomore running back from Pacoima, California played in 11 games as a freshman, with 30 carries for 179 yards and one 12-yard reception.
Pledger was listed No. 3 on Oklahoma's depth chart released Thursday.
TreySermon and Kennedy Brooks are expected to be Oklahoma's top two running backs again, but Pledger's injury figures to open up playing time for a pair of running backs who are new to the Sooners' roster.
