Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon has been suspended for Thursday's game against Iowa State for violating team rules, coach Bob Stoops announced Tuesday night.
"OU sets very high standards and they must be met by all of our student-athletes," Stoops said in statement.
"I regret that I did not respond appropriately to parking attendants and understand and accept the consequences," Mixon said in the statement.
No further detail was offered.
This is Mixon's first encounter with team policy since he was suspended for the entire 2014 season after he was charged with a misdemeanor for punching fellow student Amelia Molitor in the face during an incident on Campus Corner in July 2014.
