Perrion Winfrey, one of the most coveted defensive lineman in the junior college ranks, committed to Oklahoma on Wednesday afternoon.
Winfrey held offers from Alabama, Texas, Florida State, LSU, Nebraska, Oregon and Penn State among many others. The 6-foot-4 and 305-pound prospect from Roselle, Illinois is Oklahoma's first defensive lineman commitment in the 2020 class.
He announced his decision in a video on Twitter.
"After all the adversity I've faced in my life, I'm glad I'm at this point in my life," Winfrey said. "Pressure busts pipes. Pressure also makes diamonds. There's been a lot of greats at this school before me .
