Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray is one of 51 linebackers on the preseason watch list for the Butkus Award, honoring college football's top linebacker.
Murray had 155 tackles last year as a sophomore, including 12.5 for loss and 4.5 sacks. Over the first two seasons of his Sooners career, he has started 28 games and has 233 tackles.
Earlier in the offseason, Murray was named the Big 12's Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
Semi-finalists for the award will be named Nov. 4.
Oklahoma commit Brynden Walker of McGuinness is on the watch list for the high school Butkus Award.
