Sooners' Lincoln Riley a semifinalist for George Munger Coach of the Year Award

NORMAN — Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley is one of 18 semifinalists for the George Munger Coach of the Year Award, announced Wednesday bu the Maxwell Football Club.

Riley has the Sooners 10-1 and ranked No. 6 in the country heading into Friday's regular-season finale against No. 12 West Virginia (7 p.m., ESPN). Riley's 22 wins through his first two seasons are the most ever for an OU coach. Barry Switzer won 21 games in his first two seasons.

Riley also leads the Sooners' record-setting offense. The Sooners lead the nation with 6.
