NORMAN — Levi Prater would like to think everything still would've worked out, that he would've blossomed as a baseball player without the horrific lawn mower accident that mangled his right hand and left him with just two fingers on the hand.

Not long before his second birthday, Prater was riding on a lawn mower between his father's legs when the mower hit a pothole and knocked the toddler toward the ground. Prater's father, Robert, reached down and grabbed his son's left arm, pulling him up. It was too late, though. The blade had already done its damage.
