NORMAN — OU guard Jamal Bieniemy will transfer, sources confirmed to The Oklahoman.
As a freshman, Bieniemy started moved into the starting lineup midway through the season and quickly became a Bedlam hero.
In just his second start, Bieniemy was 6 of 6 from the field with 17 points as the Sooners came back from a 19-point deficit to beat Oklahoma State in Stillwater. In his first start a few days earlier, Bieniemy hit all four second-half 3-pointers he attempted as OU nearly beat Texas.
The next time against the Longhorns, Bieniemy was once again the hero, blocking Matt Coleman III's shot at the buzzer to seal the Sooners' 69-67 win.
