Two University of Oklahoma athletes and one from Oklahoma State earned Big 12 Spring Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards in their respective sports, the conference announced Friday.
The Sooners' Jake Irvin won the award for baseball. The junior from Bloomington, Minnesota has a 3.83 grade-point average and is a two-time Academic All-Big 12 first-team honoree.
He was 6-2 with a 3.41 ERA in 16 starts this season, earning second-team All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball.
