Like he did a few years ago when Cody Thomas played both baseball and football at Oklahoma, Sooners baseball coach Pete Hughes praised football coach Bob Stoops on his handling of Kyler Murray's split spring.
After two seasons away from baseball, Murray is hitting .200 with a team-high five stolen bases and a team-high nine walks for the 13-1 Sooners.
Hughes and Stoops recently sat down to go over Murray's spring schedule.
"We're lucky," Hughes said. "Football has been so accommodating. You don't get that at this level, right down from the head coach to the offensive coordinator.
