Sooners await NCAA baseball fate after 10-3 loss to Baylor in Big 12 tournament

Without their two best bats for most of the weekend, Oklahoma was fighting uphill battle in the Big 12 Tournament.

Saturday, that finally caught up with the Sooners, as Baylor's Alex Phillips came out of the bullpen to shut down the OU bats and Oklahoma's bullpen crumbled in a 10-3 Bears win at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Baylor's win sends the Bears to Saturday's 1 p.m. championship game against TCU while the Sooners (36-23) await their NCAA Tournament fate.

The bracket will be revealed Monday morning, with Oklahoma likely a No. 2 seed on the road.

Oklahoma got another strong start from an unexpected source as Devon Perez, making his first start since April 28 against Oklahoma State, worked into the sixth before things got sideways.
