Sooners ace Paige Parker in minor traffic accident after Friday's NCAA regional win

Oklahoma senior pitcher Paige Parker was involved in a car accident after Friday night’s win against Boston College, a team spokesperson confirmed to The Oklahoman.

According to the ESPN2 broadcast OU’s game against Tulsa, Parker and her family were leaving the game when the accident occurred.

Parker was uninjured, but felt some stiffness Saturday, according to ESPN.

Parker, who owns a 0.92 ERA, started Friday night’s 9-0 win, throwing 56 pitches in four innings of work.

She didn’t start Saturday’s game against Tulsa. Instead, senior Paige Lowary made her fourth start of the season.

Lowary started and pitched a complete game in OU’s Big 12 Championship title game a week ago.
