Paige Lowary went the distance in the circle for the Sooners in Saturday’s series finale, posting her 10th win of the season and her fourth complete game. The junior left-hander gave up just three hits and struck out three. After yielding a two-out single in the opening inning, she retired the next 13 hitters she faced over the next four and a third innings.
The victory on Saturday was Oklahoma’s ninth consecutive Big 12 win without a loss. Coupled with Oklahoma State’s loss to Iowa State on Saturday, the Sooners have taken over sole possession of first place in the conference standings.
