Baylor defeated Oklahoma 4-3 to even the big three-game series at two apiece and move within a half game of the first-place Sooners, with another game scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
The loss, OU’s first in the Big 12 after nine-straight victories, snapped a 17-game winning streak by the Sooners, a 25-game win streak against Big 12 opponents and was Oklahoma’s first at home at Marita Hynes Field in the past 34 games.
Baylor scored a pair of runs in its very first at bat and added a couple more two innings later to take a 4-0 lead.
