ESPN 300 outside linebacker Caleb Kelly announced his commitment to Oklahoma on Wednesday, selecting the Sooners over Notre Dame and Oregon.
Oklahoma jumped out to a big lead in Kelly’s recruitment, though Notre Dame and Oregon closed the gap in a big way. Still, the Sooners came out with a win and continue to do well in Fresno, California -- teammates Hatari Byrd and L.J. Moore signed with Oklahoma in the 2013 class, Michiah Quick joined them in the 2014 class -- and California as a whole. Kelly is the third ESPN 300 prospect to pledge to Oklahoma in this class, joining linebacker Bryce Youngquist and cornerback Jordan Parker.
