Going West to work is difficult. You wake up two hours behind.

Back home, I usually wake around 7 a.m. and try to knock out a couple of blogs by 9 a.m. Out here, I wake up at 7 a.m. and it’s already 9. And when Rose Bowl events start early, which they do, I’m the tortoise. I’m way behind.

We’re staying at the LA Live Courtyard in downtown Los Angeles. Downtown LA has undergone a renaissance since the early 2000s. Downtown suffered a downturn after World War II, as many buildings were razed to create sparking spaces.
