Clemson closed the regular season by taking the field on 10 straight Saturdays dating to its Oct. 3 home game against Notre Dame.
The No. 1 Tigers are now using the downtime before their Dec. 31 College Football Playoff semifinal against Oklahoma for much-needed rest, relaxation and recuperation.
"That’s going to help this team mentally, physically, spiritually, all of the above,” said Clemson senior offensive lineman Eric Mac Lain . “We’ll lock in and refocus. I’m extremely exhausted. I’m excited for this week off.”
Clemson ended the regular season with multiple bumps and bruises and is hopeful this time off will help the players heal.
