Former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops is reportedly heading back to the sidelines.
According to Joe Trahan of WFAA-TV, Stoops will be named head coach and general manager of Dallas' new XFL franchise.
This news was also reported by Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.
If true, Stoops is scheduled to be introduced at a Thursday press conference at 1 p.m.
Stoops' team will play home games at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
The XFL, which is run by WWE's Vince McMahon, is scheduled to kickoff in the spring of 2020.
Stoops stepped away from Oklahoma in 2017 after a legendary run as the Sooners' head coach.
