NORMAN — Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley has settled on his defensive coordinator.
Alex Grinch, who spent last season as the co-defensive coordinator at Ohio State, has been hired to take over the Sooners defense, according to a report by Fox's BruceFeldman.
Grinch, 38, was with the Buckeyes for just one season, serving as the co-coordinator with Greg Schiano.
The nephew of former Missouri coach Gary Pinkel, Grinch began his coaching career under Pinkel from 2002-04 as a graduate assistant.
After stints at New Hampshire and Wyoming coaching in the secondary, Grinch returned to Missouri to coach safeties from 2012-14.
