Former Oklahoma outside linebackers coach Bob Diaco has been hired as Louisiana Tech's defensive coordinator, according to BleedTechBlue.com.
Diaco joined OU's staff in March as a defensive analyst. He was promoted to an on-field coaching role following defensive coordinator Mike Stoops' dismissal in October.
Prior to his season in Norman, Diaco served as Nebraska's defensive coordinator for one year. He was head coach at UConn from 2014-16 after a successful stint as Notre Dame's defensive coordinator.
Following several defensive staff changes at Oklahoma, former interim defensive coordinator Ruffin McNeill will now coach the outside linebackers.
