OU defensive lineman Jalen Redmond’s status for the Big 12 Championship Game (11 a.m. Saturday, ABC) is still up in the air.
“He has progressed this week,” Sooners coach Lincoln Riley said Wednesday. “We don’t have a complete decision right now, but he’s certainly better at this point than he was last week.”
The redshirt freshman played in the first 11 games, starting two, before missing last week’s Bedlam win.
Without Kenneth Mann, who suffered a season-ending injury earlier in the season, and Redmond, LaRon Stokes had to play an even bigger role last week against Oklahoma State.
