With OU’s back to the wall and not knowing how they would respond in the next game after being shut out 6-0, especially a game being played at the crack of dawn (trust me, that’s what 9 a.m. seems like to college-aged kids), the Oklahoma head coach wasn’t sure what to expect Thursday morning in a win-or-go-home contest with K-State. For both teams, going home meant for the season because there will be no postseason for either team beyond the conference tournament.
“You’re not supposed to play baseball at 9 a.m.,” Hughes said in his press conference following the Sooners’ 13-7 thrashing of Kansas State on Thursday.
