QB John Mateer Commits to Oklahoma; No. 1 Player in Transfer Portal Follows WSU OC

The top-rated player in the transfer portal, per 247Sports, is heading to Oklahoma.

Quarterback John Mateer announced Wednesday he is transferring from Washington State to Oklahoma:

The move makes sense, as the Sooners already landed former Washington State offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle for the same position after they fired Seth Littrell in October. Mateer is following his offensive coordinator and will take the place of Jackson Arnold, who already transferred to Auburn this offseason.
