Damon Minor’s walk is a little slower and his hair shows more gray than 25 years ago.
It was then Minor was a key member of Oklahoma’s 1994 run to the national championship alongside his twin brother Ryan.
“The body is starting to feel it,” said Damon, a Hammon graduate.
Now in his fourth year as the Sacramento River Cats’ hitting coach, Minor is giving back to the game that gave him so much. He’s adapting to new hitting philosophies while using his experience that includes playing in the 2002 World Series with the Giants.
He spoke with The Oklahoman before Thursday’s series finale against the Oklahoma City Dodgers at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
