Iowa State’s Matt Campbell has done a masterful job in rebuilding the Cyclone program. ISU went 8-5 last season, beat both teams that made the Big 12 Championship Game (OU and TCU) and created rampant optimism for this season.
Campbell has been mentioned as a hot prospect for jobs ranging from the NFL to Ohio State.
But here on Sept. 22, Iowa State remains winless. After the season opener against South Dakota State was cancelled by lightning, the Cyclones lost 13-3 at Iowa and 37-27 at home to the Sooners. Two tough defeats, not embarrassing at all, but ISU still remains winless.
