Oklahoma slipped from ninth to 10th in the College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday night, while Oklahoma State rose from 23rd to 22nd.
The Sooners’ 42-41 squeaker over Iowa State on Saturday night came after OU stopped a Cyclone 2-point conversion with 24 seconds left in the game.
Perhaps as meaningful to OU’s playoff hopes, the committee dropped Baylor from No. 13 to No. 12, after the Bears 29-23 triple-overtime victory at TCU on Saturday. The Sooners play at Baylor this Saturday. Baylor is the lowest-rated undefeated Power 5 Conference team in the six-year history of the rankings.
