Oklahoma's Spencer Papa and Andrew Harris won the 2017 NCAA Men's Tennis Doubles Championship in Athens, Ga. on Monday.
The Sooners defeated Georgia's Robert Loeb and Jan Zielinski 6-4, 6-2, 1-0(6) in the final. Loeb and Zielinski were the number one overall seed and playing on their home court.
Georgia jumped out to an early lead in both the first and second sets, including a 2-0 lead in the second set, but OU rallied each time.
"We had to pick up the energy," Papa said. "We needed a couple of games to get us the momentum, and that really helped us throughout the match.
