Hurts, a graduate transfer from Alabama, is one of three finalists for both the Maxwell Award and the Davey O’Brien Award, and Lamb is a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award.
The Maxwell Award is presented annually to the best all-around player in college football. The Davey O’Brien Award recognizes the best quarterback in the country, and the Biletnikoff Award goes to the most outstanding receiver.
Hurts has produced 4,340 yards of offense (3,184 passing and 1,156 rushing), along with 47 touchdowns, this season for the No. 1 offensive team at the FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) level.
