NORMAN — Earlier in the week, OU superstar gymnast Maggie Nichols asked Sooners football coach Lincoln Riley to be there for Friday’s Senior Day meet.
Riley obliged and Nichols made sure to give him — and the other 5,691 fans on hand Friday night at Lloyd Noble Center — a show.
Nichols started the night with a perfect 10 on vault and was strong on the other three events as well, putting together an all-around score of 39.850.
Nichols’ score is the second-best this season in NCAA women’s gymnastics.
Top-ranked Oklahoma beat No. 4 Michigan 198.
