NORMAN — The Oklahoma women's basketball team led Kansas State by 10 points at halftime, but had allowed the Wildcats to crawl back into contention.
There were plenty of reasons for that, but standing in the locker room, Sooners coach Sherri Coale singled out sophomore Vionise Pierre-Louis in front of the team.
“You're not doing what I think you can do,” Coale told the 6-foot-4 reserve center. “I need you to be more immersed in the game.”
Message received.
Pierre-Louis led the Sooners with 15 points and seven rebounds — with most of that coming after halftime — and Oklahoma beat Kansas State 68-58 Sunday afternoon inside Lloyd Noble Center.
