NORMAN — Peyton Little scored 17 points, and Derica Wyatt added 16 on Friday night, and No. 17-ranked Oklahoma beat Winthrop 78-48 in a women's basketball opener at Lloyd Noble Center.
Little and Wyatt combined for seven of the Sooners' eight 3-pointers as OU outscored the Eagles in all four quarters. Oklahoma led 19-10 after one period and 36-20 at the break.
The Sooners outrebounded Winthrop 42-22, with OU senior Kaylon Williams grabbing a game-best seven boards. All 11 players who received court time for the Sooners had at least one rebound.
Arianne Whitaker led Winthrop with 15 points.
