“We did not have the kind of defensive commitment that we needed,” Coale said of the first half. “Then in the second half we couldn’t make a basket.
“You’ve got to be able to score when you’re trying to come back.”
Oklahoma fell to 10-7 overall and 3-2 in Big 12 play.
“I really think this is one of the best OU teams they’ve had in awhile,” TCU coach Raegen Pebley said. “They’re a team that’s growing and maturing.”
Pebley said her team was aware of Coale’s impending milestone.
“She’s important to me. She’s important to me and to women’s basketball,” Pebley said.
