LEXINGTON, Ky. — Senior forward Kaylon Williams stood outside of Oklahoma's locker room at Memorial Coliseum after Monday's game. Tears dried on her cheeks while new ones formed in her eyes.
"We thought we prepared the right way," Williams said. "I wasn't ready for it all to be over."
Oklahoma's season did end Monday with a 79-58 loss to Kentucky in front of 3,056 fans clad mostly in blue.
After an Oklahoma run cut Kentucky's lead to two points in the third quarter, the Wildcats blitzed the Sooners with a 37-18 run in the final 13:13 that left both coaches lauding toughness.
