NORMAN — Shaina Pellington scored 18 points, Madi Williams added 12 and Oklahoma defeated Central Arkansas 65-52 to snap a five-game losing streak on Wednesday night at Lloyd Noble Center.
Pellington was 8-of-13 shooting and scored 16 of her points in the second half.
Freshman Jessi Murcer provided a spark off the bench and scored 10 points in the final 3:35 for the Sooners (3-5). The former Westmoore High School star finished with 11 points and five rebounds in 18 minutes of action.
OU led 18-8 at the end of the first quarter, but the Sugar Bears (4-3) rallied and narrowed the deficit to 26-25 heading into halftime.
