• UTSA coach Steve Henson was an assistant coach at Oklahoma from 2011 from 2016. Henson has been with UTSA since 2016. UTSA assistant coach Scott Thompson was also part of Oklahoma’s coaching staff for five seasons.
• The season opener will mark the official debut of the Sooners’ newcomers. Freshman guard De’Vion Harmon, along with the rest of the freshman class and the two transfers make up the new faces of Oklahoma.
