NORMAN — OU student-athletes recorded a 3.17 grade-point average in spring 2020, extending their school-record streak of GPAs of 3.0 or above to 17.
Sooners athletes have reached the mark in each semester since spring 2012.
Athletes in 16 of OU's 19 athletics teams reached the 3.0 mark. Those sports included eight with their highest cumulative GPA, including football, softball and women's gymnastics.
Collectively, 157 student-athlete had a 4.0 GPA during the spring semester and 443 Sooners were on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll. Student-athletes have to post at least a 3.0 to earn the honor.
