OU softball's Alissa Dalton transferring

Oklahoma softball utility player Alissa Dalton, who played in 31 games this season as a freshman, has found a new home.

Dalton announced on Twitter that she was transferring to Louisiana-Lafayette.

Dalton started 29 games early in the season, splitting time between left field, catcher and shortstop.

But after hitting .326 with a home run and 18 RBIs, Dalton did not play in the final 21 games of the season as the Sooners made their run to a second consecutive Women's College World Series title.
