Juarez, in her first season with the Sooners after transferring from Arizona State, is 21-0 with a 1.32 ERA. Juarez has struck out 10 batters per seven innings. She's been used as Oklahoma's primary starter in a rotation with Mariah Lopez and Shannon Saile.
She would become the second Oklahoma pitcher to win the award. Keilani Ricketts, now a volunteer assistant for the Sooners, was named Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013.
The top-three finalists will be announced May 22.
