Oklahoma third baseman Sydney Romero and starting pitcher Giselle Juarez are among 26 finalists for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year.
OU is one of seven schools with multiple finalists, joining Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Florida State, UCLA and Washington.
Romero leads the Big 12 with a .451 batting average and 15 home runs. The senior ranks top-20 nationally in batting average, hits, home runs, total bases and slugging percentage. She leads all active Division-I players with 295 career hits.
Juarez, in her first year at Oklahoma after transferring from Arizona State, is 18-0 with a 1.
