STILLWATER — Trucks backed up to the outfield wall at Cowgirl Stadium as OSU fans climbed in for a view, but Sydney Romero’s two-run home run in the third inning cleared everything.
The no-doubt shot down the left field line was the loudest swing in OU’s 7-1 win in the first game of Sunday’s Bedlam doubleheader.
Romero, OU’s leadoff hitter, reached base three times and drove in two runs. The two bats behind her in the lineup, Fale Aviu and Caleigh Clifton, also picked up two RBIs a piece.
Junior right-hander Mariah Lopez improved to 17-1 for the Sooners.
