NORMAN — Three hours after Oklahoma’s historic winning streak was snapped, the Sooners responded with a victory that has them bound for their 10th consecutive super regional.
Oklahoma beat Wisconsin 2-0 in a Sunday afternoon elimination game at Marita Hynes Field. The Badgers upset the top-seeded Sooners 2-1 in the first game Sunday to end OU’s 41-game streak.
As was the case all weekend, it was the left arm of Giselle Juarez that carried OU.
Juarez and Wisconsin’s Kaitlyn Menz both handled massive workloads in the regional. Juarez, after throwing 160 pitches in OU’s first three games, tossed a 97-pitch shutout in the elimination game.
