OU softball picked to win Big 12 again
Oklahoma softball, for the seventh consecutive year, has been picked as the preseason favorite to win the Big 12, the league announced Thursday.
OU was a unanimous pick to top the conference. The Sooners have won the last seven regular season Big 12 championships. Oklahoma went 18-0 in the Big 12 last season.
Coach Patty Gasso's squad returns five All-Big 12 selections from a year ago. Oklahoma went 57-5 last year, making its 12th Women's College World Series appearance.
Texas is picked to finish second in the conference, Baylor third and Oklahoma State fourth.
