NORMAN — Giselle Juarez has turned dominance into routine.
The left-hander tossed a 16-strikeout no-hitter Saturday afternoon in OU’s 4-0 win against Wisconsin. It came less than 24 hours after she threw three perfect innings in a Friday start against UMBC. Add the no-hitter to a season that already includes a pair of perfect games.
Oklahoma, winners of 41 in a row, is one victory away from winning the Norman Regional and advancing to the super regional round. The Sooners will await either Wisconsin, Notre Dame or UMBC at 1 p.m. Sunday at Marita Hynes Field.
Dating back to her April 28 start at Iowa State, Juarez has allowed two hits in her last 27 innings.
