OU junior running back Alex Ross is one of 44 players who have been named to the 2015 Paul Hornung Award Watch List.
The Hornung Award is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football, and Ross would qualify. As a sophomore, the 6-foot-2, 215-pounder was third nationally in kickoff return average (31.22 per attempt), scoring two touchdowns. Ross also rushed 88 times for 595 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 6.8 yards per carry, best among OU rushers with 10 or more carries.
Players may be added to the watch list during the season based on performance.
