NORMAN – Brayden Willis added his name to a list of OU true freshmen who won’t redshirt this season. The tight end from Arlington, Texas played his fifth game of the season Saturday against the Longhorns.
Junior linebacker Caleb Kelly also played against Texas, almost certainly closing the door on him possibly redshirting.
College football’s new redshirt rule allows players to participate in up to four games and still redshirt and maintain an extra year of eligibility. We’ll monitor how the Sooners are using the rule each week in our redshirt tracker.
Players who are out for the season with injuries are not listed.
