NORMAN — With blue mats strewn everywhere, power tools littering the floor and a crew working methodically to install pieces of a black floor, McCasland Field House was a construction zone Friday morning.
Amid the chaos, Mark Williams sat on the floor off to the side, carefully positioning three small blocks of wood around one leg of the bar apparatus. With a yellow power tool, he expertly drilled the wood into place, surrounding the leg to prevent it from wobbling.
“The bar wiggles when you swing and will walk itself out, so we have to make sure that doesn't happen,” Williams said, explaining what he'd been doing.
