SUGAR GROVE, ILL. — The Oklahoma men's golf team refused to back down at Rich Harvest Farms and extended its historic season.
The Sooners are headed to the NCAA Men's Championship Final for the first time in program history after rallying past Baylor, 3-2, in the match play quarterfinals and stormed past Illinois, 3-1-1, in the semifinals.
Oklahoma's run at the school's second men's golf national title and first under the stroke and match play format was threatened when Baylor took a 2-0 lead with three matches left on the course.
Rylee Reinertson and Grant Hirschman both used 1-up victories to tie the match before Brad Dalke clinched the win.
