OU men's basketball: Sooners might start NCAA Tournament in Oklahoma City

LUBBOCK, Texas — Barring a disastrous finish to the regular season, Oklahoma might know its starting point for the NCAA Tournament.

The No. 3 Sooners figure to start the tournament virtually at home, with their first two games likely in Oklahoma City.

But which seed the Sooners are when they arrive at Chesapeake Energy Arena will be determined by the way they finish the closing stretch, beginning Wednesday at Texas Tech (8 p.m., ESPNU).

“If we can land in Oklahoma City for the first round, it makes life easier on us,” Ryan Spangler said. “At the same time, we have six games.
